On a global basis, STAK is actively researching and developing different manufacturing processes and materials in an effort to provide our clients with a product that is more environmentally friendly.

For us, “Going Green” extends beyond the physical end product to the management cycle, using practices that put an emphasis on greener thinking. Our products can be built at consumer discretion using materials that contain no urea formaldehyde and other harsh chemicals, hardwoods from FSC certified forests (guaranteeing that materials come from managed forests), adhesives and paint coatings that are low VOC, building in an efficient manner through the use of digital construction and prototyping to keep physical waste to a minimum.

Our short term goals in this area include membership in the US Green Building Council (USGBC) and LEED AP Certification for two of STAK’s Senior Designers and Engineers. Please check back frequently to see what’s new as STAK continues to move forward with its green initiative.
